What is a Raw Milk Herd Share?
A Herd Share program gives you the opportunity to become part owner of the dairy goats here at our farm!
When you become part owner, you are able to legally consume the fresh raw milk that comes from the herd. Whether you want to use it to make your own dairy products or pick up freshly made products here on the farm, you can do so without issue.
As a herd share owner, you receive a weekly supply of fresh raw goat milk, just like a milk subscription from your very own goats! (But don’t worry—you don’t have to wake up at 5 AM to milk them. We’ve got that covered!)
Once you become a herd share owner, you get to choose a monthly subscription that matches your family’s needs. Your subscription covers the ongoing care, milking, feed, equipment, and labor required to manage your goats.
In return, you receive a weekly supply of raw goat milk and other dairy products when available.
We handle all of the milking, cleaning, equipment maintenance, and herd management while you enjoy the most delicious and nutrient-dense raw goat milk in Colorado.
Why Herd Shares Exist
In the state of Colorado, retail sale of raw milk isn’t permitted — but herd ownership is.
Your ownership share entitles you to legal access to the raw milk produced by the herd you co-own.
The herd share model allows families to:

Know exactly how the animals are raised
Build a direct relationship with their farmer
Support small-scale, transparent agriculture

How Our Herd Share Works
When you join Pine Hills Pastures herd share program, you’ll receive fresh raw goat milk weekly, just like a milk subscription from your own goats!
You’ll pay a one-time Buy-In Fee to purchase your share(s) of the herd.
Each full share entitles you to one gallon of milk per week
Each half share entitles you to a half gallon of milk per week
You can purchase multiple shares based on your family's needs.
You’ll pay a monthly Boarding Fee for the care of your animals and processing of your dairy products.
You’ll receive your dairy products weekly on your designated pick-up day.
Pick up your milk weekly from our farm or one of our drop locations.
Milk will be available for pickup each week, from May to December to the best of our ability.
How To Get Started

Join The Herd
Follow the step-by-step sign up instructions and review the Agreement. Once we have your signed Agreement and you’ve paid the one-time buy-in fee for your share(s), you're ready to go.

Shop
Next, you’ll get access to our Members Shop where you can select your dairy products and choose your pickup day!
You’ll pay the boarding fee at checkout. It will automatically renew each month.
3.
Pick Up
Each week, pick up your dairy products on your designated day, either from our farm or one of our drop locations.
Our farm is located in Elizabeth, Colorado. We have drop locations in Colorado Springs and Centennial.
